To call Trump a breath of fresh air or a tart from the rest of the corporate architecture is downright ugly thread material.

never will I settle for the , "at least it's different" mantra

I'm leaning towards a downgrade but, I'm not totally convinced either. I have seen documentation which specifies a 35 storey tower plus a 2 storey mechanical. Caltrane posted a photo that does allow for a 174 metre height as well.

I dismissed the 160 metres as someone's estimation. A 2 floor cut would only amount to 7 or 8 metre loss.

I'm not sure what the final height is. Unfortunately, it's pretty common for heights.

yeah, pretty sure I had the depth perception ass backwards. It's definitely shorter. Could even be 160 metres.

You can see a more pronounced difference in someMidTowner's photo from UrbanToronto:

Yeah, both MLS towers are taller. The shorter one being 174 meters.

At the best Sunlife Tower is 165-167 meters.

It's unfortunate the developer added the protruding sky pods in the redesign. The new design is the dog's breakfast. The old one was decent considering it's P&S

Pretty sure the pods were always there as I don't remember the tower ever having actual stepbacks. They needed something to fake the impression of stepbacks. The only redesign I can think of was streamlining the crown.

It was always a dog's breakfast. Thankfully, more are starting to notice this but, still, surprising how many still are excited about this awkward design.

Montreal got the better deal with L'Avenue > King Blue (replaced the design on King West)
