I do wonder what will open next...but not to the point of following Mr. Puff on Facebook

I find that whole project quite depressing and I don't have high hopes, but there's such a need for food options on the Plateau that I'm willing to celebrate anything that opens.

It doesn't look like there are any large stores going in, space is running low. It's just a hodge podge of little units. I was really hoping for Adonis.

Really? They have like three full service grocery stores and a zero waste grocery store.

Pretty sure they meant restaurant options, which really are sorely lacking in the area, even with Agora.

I'd rank le Plateau 6/10 for restaurant options. Mostly just chains though. Nothing groundbreaking.

Spritz is supposed to a nice, non-chain restaurant in Agora.

My kids say the décor is beautiful but the food is not great.

Internet reviews seem to confirm this.

In the Agora complex, there is some 1950's-style diner as well, along with a Shawarma joint.

In my opinion, the best Shawarma joint in the entire Ottawa-Gatineau region. It's called La Casbah. I have friends and family that travel from Ottawa just to eat there now.

Café Cognac the bistro is also there. They moved there from their long-established location on Montcalm near the corner of Allumettières.

Le Pêle-Mêle, a mainstay on Laval in the Vieux, is also going to Agora. But this will be a second location.

My kids go to the one downtown.

I concur. Went there with partner and my parents after seeing it online. The decor is nice and looks cool & trendy but the food was very overpriced ($30 spaghetti) and very basic. Would not return.

Seems like a lot has been added to Agora since I was there last year.

They have piddly little signs on the roller-coaster ride that is Boulevard du Plateau. Yeah I've seen them, but I would only try the place by word of mouth, and thanks, Harley. I will.

I think I already posted about this (just search Spritz in the search box-thingy), but yes.. it's not worth what you pay.

Ha! I am a member of a few 'Aylmer community groups' and someone posted that. I am not a Mr. Puffs fan.

I am sure Unigym is supposed to open some facility at the corner of Vanier and Plateau.

Hmm.. let's see.. what do we have that is only a few km away that could be duplicated here.. Bulk Barn? Another realtor HQ? Oh, I know.. we need another bank branch!

Maison Oddo, a super awesomely fantastic pastry shop housed in a crappy strip mall at the bottom end of St-Raymond (Manoir des Trembles) would be an awesome fit for Agora.

Please don't steal my croissants
Honestly MdT is in the same boat as most of Plateau, barely any nearby food options.

I am not looking forward to the thousands of new units being built with the current traffic situation. The ongoing 4 lane expansion of Pink on the North edge of the neighbourhood will provide some relief at least.

It's crazy that pretty much all of the greenspace in this pic is gone now (below the highway).

I completely agree there really needs to be another exit between des Grives and Vanier.

Vanier obviosuly also needs to be widened but more importantly the Vanier Allumetiere intersection needs to be an overpass or underpass.. it's ridiculous the way it is right now. Having an overpass or underpass would allow for continued flow east/west + North/south which are both the main traffic output of the intersection.. the lights at the overpass would simply control those looking to exit or go on allumetiere in both direction.

I know that this isn't a cheap thing to do, but for one it should've been done from the start and it's the only solution to the intersection.

I checked out Le Retro last night at Agora. Decent prices, neat atmosphere.. but the open connection to the dépanneur next door ruins the vibe a little.

I have heard that there is going to be a Korean Hot dog place coming to Destination V.
