Ljubljana is the capital city of Slovenia, with an approximate population of 260.000 people. It is also Slovenia’s largest and most developed city.
Here is a short summary of all the skyscraper projects that are currently developing in Ljubljana.
Emonika City Center
The ECC includes a 100 m tall office skyscraper, which will be the tallest in Slovenia, as well as a 65 m tall residential skyscraper. The project is worth 250 million euros and should be completed in the year of 2010.
The Vilharjeva Complex
This complex will include a 65 m tall office and residential skyscraper.
The BTC skyscraper
This skyscraper in BTC will be up to 90 m tall and should be finished by 2010. The project is worth 30 million euros.
Northern City Gates
The norther city gates project includes two up to 75 m tall skyscrapers with mostly office space. It is to be completed by 2011.
Gemini Towers BTC
This complex will include two linked skyscrapers, both 18 stories high, and will mostly house offices. The project should be finished by 2010 and is worth 60 million euros.
Tobačna City
The Tobačna City complex will include an office tower and 9 residential towers, up to 70 m tall. The project should be completed by 2016.
New Kolizej
The New Kolizej will house a modern opera as well as apartments. It will be 73 m tall and is said to be completed by 2012. The project is worth 180 million euros.
The Avtomontaža Complex
There is a smaller tower planned for the Celovški Dvori (avtomontaža) apartment complex.
The Avtotehna Complex
There is a large business/residential complex planned on Celovška road with several smaller skyscrapers.
Brnik Airport Control Tower
There is a new 99 m tall control tower soon to undergo construction at Ljubljana’s (Jože Pučnik) airport.
BTC Hotel Skyscraper
There is an 18 story hotel skyscraper planned in BTC, that should be completed by 2011.
Litostroj Scyscraper
There is an 80 m office skyscraper planned in the Litostroj industrial zone.
Three residential towers Dravlje
There are three up to 80 m tall residential towers planned in Dravlje.
