Does anyone have new pictures of the exterior? I'd love to see them...this is such a cool design...one of the best sporting complexes in the United States.

Judging by the way everyone is going ga-ga over the canopy entrance, I would expect that Ratner is going to have quite a hard time building Miss Brooklyn there even if the economy improves....

I myself agree, not only because the plaza could become a focal point of Brooklyn along with the arena, but because the tower will sandwich in the arena with the other towers. As origianlly designed, I wouldn't have minded.

Still am not a fan of the cladding material used. The design I love, but the rusting look of the material I think diminishes the overall effect somewhat. IMO.
^It's not corten, rather another type of weathered steel. It was developed and trademarked by SHoP and ASI Limited of Indiana specifically for this project. ASI declared bankruptcy and shut down in December but has since been able to reopen and supply the remaining panels under the name Hunt Construction.
People tend to default to calling weathered steel exteriors COR-TEN as you may call tissue, Kleenex. Structurally performing steel facades with this look, yes. But when used in thin sheets as a rain screen application, no. Reason being COR-TEN is not recommended for these types of design application as the panel or component will eventually thin out or distort. They'd never be able to get a warrantee on the facade if they actually used COR-TEN steel
