Boooooooo.........

Crescent Heights also put the site for NEMA II in Chicago (a potential supertall site) up for sale not too long ago.

They seem to be in a pretty staunch retreat mode.

It's a shame that no supertall will be built in Seattle in the foreseeable future. And this building would probably also have had a observation deck.

The FAA did approve the 1k+ height so I wonder if that could carry over / anyone else is feeling ambitious.

Huh? What does the site's height limit have to do with copyright?

I don't know how things work in Seattle, but here in Chicago, land can absolutely be sold with transferred entitlements still in place.

Copyright law has to do with printing, publication, and public use rights, not construction or zoning rights. The seller can always sell the design they paid for with the parcel and the next owner will be free to construct whatever is allowed by right on the land.
