Isn't a car a requirement for the suburbs? You are quite the paradox.

Love the building, but it boggles my mind why the developer did not pony up a bit of $ to bury the powerlines. FAIL

I don't think the power lines are that big a deal. And Hintonburg/Wellington West is a very popular neighbourhood, so clearly most people feel the same.

Burying power lines is extremely expensive, so why would the developer pay unless there was a significant financial benefit to them?

I am sure the 4th floor occupant near the grey transformer appreciates the view....and the noise that emits from it.

Wellington Village has always had that kind of downtown-ish urban feel to it. Or to me it did when we lived on Bullman Street.

The final design looks better than the original rendering IMO. The only detail I preferred in the rendering were the living walls, which may just come later.

Koble is listing the space currently occupied by "Simply Danish" furniture as "For Lease". Interestingly though, they show several images of the interior of the retail space (exposed ducts, pipes, and all... yikes!), as well as the puzzle parking system the condo has going on.

On a side note, Trove (a furniture-based consignment shop) will be moving in to the space next door.

I got really tired of them being closed on weekend days every time I walked by and would have had time to browse.
Open your store when your target market isn't working, people.

The exposed pipes in the store are funny, you get to hear very time someone flushes a toilet in the apartments above.
