Apologies for the lack of a great update, but here's the top of both Eau de Soliel towers, (6. Eau du Soleil - Sky Tower (Toronto): 228.2m / 749ft) taken off the hill on Dundas (west of Ossington) with my camera;

It's pretty cool to think none of those buildings behind the Government building existed at the start of the boom.

Well, except the offices near York St (forgot the road, but ah well, their fairly new, just over 30 years old now). I think, going by a quick glance, their just visible in that shot.

I think you mean 20 Bay. It won't be visible for much longer.

I think 18 Yonge (2003 to 2006) was the first. Impressive indeed knowing this has been replicated a dozen times over in the city.

For Toronto proper the numbers are 61 built and 32 U/C (93 total) with another 8 in site prep. One of those 8 will be the 100th Toronto skyscraper...

That is wild, congratulations Toronto! The next most in the whole country is Calgary with only 20 (18 complete, 2 UC) and that is only when you include the Calgary tower The Lower Mainland is getting pretty close to 2nd, with 9 complete and 9 UC however that is spread across four cities.

Regardless, that disparity is pretty wild.

Was that your (unlikely, much-mocked) prediction a few years ago, or was it 50 over 200 m.? I can't remember.
