From some angles, it looks pretty tall:

But not from others:

Glass looks good so far:

A lot better than its neighbor, Jasper:

Looks tall and I like the rounded corner. It's almost certain to be better looking than Jasper (what wouldn't?).

Cool shot! Rincon Hill has become such a different place in such a short time. Its really an amazing construction explosion.

Its a shame its all luxury housing and nothing else though, Id love for it to develop into another neighborhood the way Soma is right now

The new MOMA addition fits into the urban landscape really well.

Is this topped out? If not, it sure looks close.

topped out quite some time ago. really wish the crown in the cover picture was actually the same as what was approved. yet, our planning process seems to "dumb down" interesting architecture.

Traffic in the city is HORRIBLE!! It gets worse it seems every time I come back. This was taken at 2:30. A single car broke down in the middle lane of the eastbound Bay Bridge, which caused a ripple congestifuck that brought the entire downtown area into a gridlocked mess.

Anyway, something good came out of it- this pic of Harrison Street. \

It is pretty astonishing the amount of transformation and the way the neighborhood feels with all these new towers. I remember years ago getting on the Bay Bridge here which was then a pretty gritty low slung warehouse district with tons of traffic. Now it's an immense awe inspiring boulevard with tons of traffic. Seriously. How do residents of ORH even get home outside of the hours of 11am- 1pm?

Please tell me this is a protective coating and not the final color!

Yep, that's some high-quality glass.

viewguy - none of the renderings show the midrise with that color (even the updated ones with the crown facing away from ORH), so I'm going with protective covering.

The crown is facing ORH and the Bay Bridge though; I'm OK with the Planning Commision having had it reversed.

Thanks for your comments on my shots PG!

I meant the taller part is on the opposite corner from ORH. I realize that "facing" is open to different interpretations so probably not the best word for me to use there.

You're welcome.
