PS; I added a couple extra floors and the lobby is generic until I model the real-life version. Available on STEX.

Two crazy spidermen installing xmas lights on the tower crane last week, in the dark and cold high winds! What are they getting paid to do this?

Could you import it into Cities: Skylines too?

I understand if you can't, the process for modelling buildings for that game is hilariously difficult.

Those neighbours must be pissed. 40 storey tower across the street from their little homes! I can't believe this was not NIMBY'd to death. Must not be in Winnipeg!

I would not be surprised to find out that they are members of the Iron Workers or Operating Engineers trades doing that.

And they are probably junior enough in seniority that they get to do it instead of the senior guys.

It's in Toronto. "Mid-block surrounded by single family homes? 56 storeys will be fine!"

^ The big tower looming over suburban McMansion backyards setup reminds me a bit of the Marathon Oil Tower in Houston...

The idea that Winnipeg is somehow uniquely prone to having people object to the devastation of their neighbourhoods is pretty silly. People in Toronto have fought these horrendous projects but the city is drunk on developer money and endless, pointless "growth" so for the most part they have no chance.

I saw that. Ballsy as hell.

The money isn't the incentive, it's merely bar fodder for talking to chicks "... You know that insane xmas light installation on the crane? ..... THIS GUY RIGHT HERE"

That's a pretty unavoidable shadow cast from that building:

Houston does like to brag about having no zoning laws, but that's ridiculous.
