Has anyone watched Lost Girl? It's a pretty cheesy supernatural thriller, but a lot of it was filmed in Hamilton. I spend most of my time watching the background.

Slainte's is a pub, the Go station is a police station, and I've seen the main characters talking while strolling down Barton.

Anyone know what they're filming at St. Paul's today on James South? The cards on the trucks said Poe Films or something, but didn't appear to have the title of whatever they are filming.

Caught a nice shot of the exterior of the Trocadero on Barton on the latest airing of the Kennedys last night. It was the setting for a meet-up between Joe Kennedy Sr. and mobster Sam Giancana....perfect!

My friend was made late for work because this film shoot was right outside, another had signs taken down from his own building. This city needs to have some better procedures when they invite the film industry to use its citizens' private property without compensation.

There's something being filmed at the Go Station right now. I have no idea what it is, but it looks higher budget than a lot of the things that get filmed here. Any ideas?

I walked by today and the sign on one of the cars staid GPM productions (or something similar) but I didn't catch the movie. One of the trailers seemed to contain individual dressing rooms for various stuntmen.

I have third hand information that it's for something called "Alphas." I couldn't find any info about it online.

EDIT - Found this: http://blastr.com/2011/03/malik-yoba-unmasks-the-su.php
I'll watch it, because I love bad TV sci-fi.

And… ACTION! CTV’s FlashPoint films at Hamilton Airport

Quote:
It was a definite surprise when I found out they were filming FlashPoint at Hamilton Airport. FlashPoint is a CTV drama series that depicts the life of six cops as they navigate the present day landscape of crime and violence. It was even more of a shock when Bob, Hamilton Airport’s Facilities Manager said that crew didn’t mind giving us a tour of the set!

The local music video production industry must have been excited about the death of redevelopment plans for the Connaught in 2009, and the owners' subsequent bankruptcy. With Lister being restored, they risked losing a decaying iconic heritage structure to use as a filming location. Looks like they'll have a prime filming location available for another decade or so.

I biked past Main & James yesterday, and they were filming something Christmas themed. I felt bad for the extras, since they were all dressed in winter clothes in the muggy heat.

The road signs were covered over, James being 43rd Street, and Main being 3rd Avenue, and a few NYC-looking taxis.

There is a film crew at the Bean Bar in Westdale. They have inside and out decorated for Christmas.

Saw film crews with a fire scene at the City Motel (Queenston traffic circle) about 8 p.m. Monday night. Any one know the movie or TV show?

James North

They're filming around James North & Mulberry, and also LIUNA Station where they have half of a fake barbed-wire fence.
What City are we this week? Detroit? LOL
