This thread cannot be complete without the mother of all silos, the half-kilometre-long Silo no 5! (it's been considered for the future UN headquarters...)
Architype - wicked pictures. The one with the "Future is friendly" vans and the billboard with the rifle is haunting. The "Do not enter" one as well. Great composition and lighting, and awesome coincidence of people in the right places.

The old Dow Brewery (Montreal, immediately south of the CBD). They once put cobalt into the beer to increase the foam...years later, Dow drinkers were dying of cancer.
The area is being revitalized. Right next door is the old Lowney chocolate factory, which is being turned into condos.
