Fun fact about McKinsey & Co. moving into 3WTC for those who may not know: my understanding is that in the 60s, when the original complex was still in the planning stages, the Port Authority hired McKinsey to do a study on the viability of the whole concept of a World Trade Center. Their report found that there was basically no demand for a such a facility among the international shipping companies the PA envisioned as tenants, but the study was hushed up by Nelson Rockefeller who was Governor of NY at the time and was very much in favor of the project (mainly because of his family’s real estate interests in the area—One Chase Manhattan Plaza, etc.)
Now, here we are a few decades later and McKinsey is moving into the very same complex they said would never be successful
