The lobby is nice; real nice! That just may be the best lobby in the city, vast, spacious, a real showroom.

In the base of the tower where the lobby sits, I thought the exterior was white, off white in color, but the cladding is gray. Was that a change later in development or am I mistaken?

The lantern glass sticks out further than I expected on the west side. I think it looks great, just wish it’d stick out that much the whole way down and look like one piece. Based on the framing and previous posts, it won’t.

The atriums are what really set this building off when being viewed with the lights on.

The lantern glass should follow all the way down. See appendix 1 and 2 in the CDR.

I like how the Philadelphia skyline has a river running through it.
Only Chicago can compare to this (sorry NYC, but you’re not there).

Just the thought of the proposals that are planned makes Philadelphia a city you can be proud of.

That building is "suffering" from a lot of setbacks, so much it's beautiful. The new CTC center could have aesthetically benefited from a few more "setbacks."

It's a great looking building, but not one that I'd want as the tallest in my city. I love Chicago because the two tallest are (at first glance) basic and "strong". Hancock is one of my favorites in the states - possibly my #1. It and willis enhance everything around them because they kinda "anchor" the skyline and make other buildings seem fancier and stand out more even though they don't necessarily have the height.

I love that they're black too. It's probably too late for PHiladelphia to build something like that (is anyone even building in that style anymore?) but I thought for a minute at the very early stages that CTC was going to use black/smoked glass, and I think that would have been incredible, even if it clashed with the rest of the CC buildings.

yeah I really think some sort of black-ish glass would've really made this stand out.

FWIW I meant the Chicago one isn’t what I’d want for my tallest. I’m fine with CTC

You are really hung up on this. It has been explained multiple times now. Please watch the clip I linked the last time you brought this up. Unless plans have changed, there will be windows glass sticking out all the way down. All is well.

Yea, I'm really confused why he is still confused:

I was confused because the framing is clearly different up there, so it's reasonable for a layman to assume that the framing would have to be uniform the whole way down for the glass to be at the same level. I didn't necessarily trust the renders because they've been slightly inaccurate in at least one spot (the drastic color change at the cooling tower part) and it's not totally clear that the bottom of the "spine" is at the same level as the lantern if you look at exactly where it becomes the actual lantern (it's pretty clear on the image on the left.)

The video does help though - I must have just missed that the first time it was posted in a reply, so thanks for that!

Basically it's a combination of thinking I can envision the final product by reading between the lines as it's going up, but when one of those lines gets done out of the order my brain expects it to, it fouls up the image in my head of how the end state will appear. That, and being impatient and wanting it done NOW, lol.

We don't know that yet. To paraphrase the great Yogi Berra, it ain't finished till it's finished.
