The plan is to use the first coat of graffiti as concrete sealer and paint over it in white.

I am with Coldrsx on this one. I also like the contrast that provides focus to the sweeping bridge spans.

One thing that bothers me is how rarely they use variation in the lighting feature on the Bridge. Don't get me wrong, the white light is gorgeous but the few times they've run a theme (like the aurora theme they ran a few months back) was spectacular. It just seems like they've only used it maybe a handful of times in the entire year...anyone we can ask about this?

Tis indeed and perhaps more importantly has created a new hillside that is often quite full with people enjoying sunsets, Downtown views and our beloved valley.

So many ppl taking selfies and tik tok this summer at that lawn and south side of bridge - it was nice to see. It’s like the city is making a positive impression on people which is a good thing.

That's pretty neat and fascinating at the same time.

I've spent most of the day trying to think of a solid caption that would do this picture justice, then realized it doesn't need one. #yeg #exploreyeg #walterdalebridge #viewfromthetop

Can it accommodate four lanes of traffic for future two way? Maybe if it becomes the main road n&s we could build an identical one beside it on the west side. Carve a bit of the hillside out and have Gateway and Calgary Trail crossing it. 105 could be one way up like now and 106 one way down. Dreaming again.

So just found out, the city has granted permission to run a Cyclocross race around and on the knoll at the Walterdale bridge site. Oct 16-17.
