Actually this does. It's why some of the buildings to the northeast of this tower look taller than they might actually be given that they sit on Bunker Hill.

If the model went a bit further in that direction, Wells Fargo, BofA, Cal Plaza would look much, much taller than normal.

That is true, and I know these models are fairly close, but I was just pointing out that in a few of the models, they appear to be off.

In this image, for instance, the Fig at Wil is obviously taller than the PH Twins, but the models seem to show the opposite. Aon looks a bit out of scale as well. The distance the photo is taken mostly eliminates the distortion of height. Its only a couple dozen feet difference of course, but i digress...

That's just my take. Don't eviscerate me! LOL

It appears to be a pile driver, but it's hard to tell from that distance.

Well, anything along that section of the site could very will be for pilings, and that is where the tower base will be. There is a good chance they may be ahead of schedule.

but they still have to dig at least another 40 - 50ft down more, thats probably what they are doing. Remember there will be 5 levels of subterrean parking. And the big concrete pour is suppose to take place around Christmas I think. I cannot wait for that event!

Whoever runs the Facebook page said the digging will be done in mid-December, though there's been other sources saying the concrete pour will start earlier than that. Who knows.

A building that very closely resembles the WG is under construction in downtown Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto 5. I thought that was a very cool touch.

I don't believe so. Mojeda got permission from one of the tenants to take pictures of the Wilshire Grand site from their office, if I recall correctly.

Reminds me of "ground zero", before construction.

Turner has an office high up in the Wedbush with a webcam. Don't think it's live yet, but they did post a time lapse of the deconstruction of the old hotel that I posted on page 50, but here it is again.

Video Link

The south porch on the Wedbush is high enough to get a good view of the lot.

Hana financial. Although the guard always eye me as i enter(racist). They love me up there and it's such an awesome vantage point.

^ No, that looks like piping to build the stairway down into the pit.
