He takes pictures almost as well as me also! Although, I've got him beat in the MS Paint render department though, haha! That reminds me, you poor souls have been deprived of my wonderfully crappy MS Paint "diagram of the week" for many weeks now! Developers, Start submitting your proposals. I need to give these fourmers their fix

^ Nice photos.

Just wondering, was the parking lot there already before the building?
It doesn't look new.

Anyone have any info on when the Empire Theatres project is gonna start at the Field Power Centre? Originally this was suppose to start in 2012 with a 2013 opening. That's certainly not gonna happen now. Has it been shelved?

No. I'm pretty sure they're still going ahead with it. That was supposed to verge anchor for the whole field power center development. Not sure why there's such a huge delay though..

Pinnacle Engineering Ltd. application for #25 Hebron Way (in Blue) was listed on the approved commercial permits list a couple weeks ago. Not sure what lot Empire Theatres is. From the map I would guess #20 Hebron Way next to Harvey's.

They're still actively working the core foundation and rock bed in that area. I think it's only as of last week did it look nearly ready to be built on.

I think the theater is meant to go along Torbay road to the right of Harvey's if you're looking at the front.

I emailed Empire Theatres the other day and got this response from Denise Mackensie, one of their reps. Seems like it has gotten pushed back a bit on the schedule.

Thank you for your inquiry. While a start date has not been confirmed, construction on our new location in St. John's is planned for 2014.

Hey guys, was at the mall this evening and noticed this in the entrance hallway to the cinemas. Time will tell if they keep this on schedule. Originally it was supposed to open in 2013.

Yeah I thought that was kinda funny too. I guess they are just playing up the street name more so than the actual town name as that part of Torbay Road is a major commercial retail area that everyone is familiar with.

A pretty basic and boring townhouse proposal for Forest Road.

Better than trees!

But it would be nice to see some taller residential buildings down by the lake. It's the perfect location for such developments. I'm really looking forward to the (2?) 10 story towers to be built in Pleasentville. Who knows, maybe they'll get the Tiffany treatment and be bumped up a few stories! That'd be awesome
