Umm, well, I am unable to attend. (I'm in Ontario, damn.) If some of you are able to attend though, please take great notes and [possibly] photos of any would-be models/drawings etc.

Thanks guys!

Looks like YQR is pushing for United Airlines Denver flights.

http://www.cjme.com/2018/03/14/regin...e-of-security/

That would be a good start.

And I hope they can get a flight too into MInneapolis St-Paul too to have an easier Delta connection than flying into Toronto.

Flair Air expands back to YXE

Flair Air just announced their 2018 summer schedule. Flair Air will once again be flying out of Saskatoon international airport. According to the destination drop-down, Flair will eventually have 3 destinations from Saskatoon - one being a brand new direct link to Prince George, BC; however, has only officially announced Saskatoon - Edmonton flights.

To:
Edmonton - Wednesday and Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
Prince George - schedule not yet confirmed
Vancouver - schedule not yet confirmed

Schedule highlights (new directs):

Toronto to: Halifax
Winnipeg to: Calgary, Vancouver
Saskatoon to: Edmonton
Calgary to: Vancouver, Winnipeg
Edmonton to: Saskatoon, Prince George, Victoria
Prince George to: Vancouver, Edmonton
Vancouver to: Prince George
Victoria to: Edmonton

Additionally, the frequency on almost every route we currently serve has grown with this new schedule.

I heard that Saskatoon's new downtown highrise correctional facility will be opening in the near future... only one peculiar thing about it; it's signage says 'Holiday Inn and Suites'.

^ I presume when they say Vancouver they really mean Abbotsford? Or are they actually going to YVR?

Hope Flair Air and the New Canada Jet Lines, and Swoop will add service to and from Regina down the road cause we need more competition in this airport.

Agreed! So disappointing so far that it’s just Air Canada and WestJet.

John G. Diefenbaker International Airport This Fall

Quote:
MONTREAL, May 1, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada today announced it will open a Maple Leaf Lounge at Saskatoon's John G. Diefenbaker International Airport this fall. It will be the airline's 17th Maple Leaf Lounge in Canada, and construction is currently underway.

"We look forward to opening our newest Maple Leaf Lounge in Saskatoon later this year which will offer our eligible customers an elevated airport experience, with a quiet place to relax or work before their flight," said Benjamin Smith, Air Canada's President, Passenger Airlines.

"Skyxe Saskatoon Airport is delighted to partner with Air Canada to bring a Maple Leaf Lounge to Saskatoon. We know that many customers will enjoy the highly-anticipated lounge experience," said Stephen Maybury, President and CEO of Skyxe Saskatoon Airport.

Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounge at Skyxe Saskatoon Airport will be located post security near gate 5. It will be 137 square meters (1,474 square feet) with seat capacity for 40 customers. Additional details will be announced when the lounge opens.

You're right. I thought it was still that crappy little room with some peanuts and canned beer. It looks pretty decent now. I used to have a pass when I travelled more on business, but gave it up.
