VANCOUVER, BC. On the Edge of Civilization

~All pics were shot over a few days at the end of July/beginning of August, 2013. I love this place. If you haven't been, I would say: GO!

Some people think Vancouver is boring, compared to other big cities, and it is, but it's not. For what some outsiders see as boredom, is actually deep internal, local contentment.

In any case, Vancouver is what people make of it now, and this is a city undergoing a metamorphosis, especially between economic lines. Onward Ho!

Beautiful Vancouver!

God this city is so stunning it hurts!

How can people even begin to think Vancouver is boring!? It's such a perfect city in so many ways, with plenty to do.

As someone who's lived in Vancouver now for two years, I'd say Ricopedra has actually described it perfectly, it really is kind of boring, but at the same time it isn't. The notion isn't preposterous.

Weird.... I've never heard anyone describe Vancouver as 'boring' before. Anyone I've met has always loved it, and found it interesting.

Nice shots BTW!

My buddy used to live on the end unit of this place, bar beneath, many fun nights to say the least.

Bus stop Babes; now there's a hard vote that's fun to make. (Mr. Wiener, you're excluded).

The following shots were taken on, or from, Granville Island; a small, former industrial wasteland, transformed into one of the city's best attractions and a great place to shop for food.

From my 4 years living in Vancouver:
By day, it is fabulous. The best outdoors city in Canada, great neighborhoods, gorgeous views.
By night, it is on the dullside. Not compared to the average similar-sized North American city. But compared to Montreal (my hometown)...it is really quite dull.

I do miss Vancouver terribly. Thanks for the phototour.

Sooo sweet and beautiful. I laid my soul to rest.

But then I looked into the background to the right, spotting the Brunette.
All I could do was start to sing the blues, Led Zeppelin, Dazed and Confused....
(You! Look past the white shorts! ; )

Well, we're all beautiful in our own way....

~~Just having fun with Good Cookies!~~
