Not sure if has been pointed out but it looks like Google Earth has now updated their mapping of downtown. The images are dated April 4, 2009. Looks like they've done tighter grids with the areal photographs because there is next to no building lean in the photos (the camera is directly above the buildings so you can see the streets on all sides.

There was a segment on the discovery channel about how Vancouver had new areal mapping done prior to the Olympics for security reasons. Here's the link:

I wonder if Google got this new mapping and that's what we're looking at now.
