I was not expecting to see a picture of the back of my own house in this thread! I can see my bike tied up to the chain and everything.

The front side looks much better. I'm crap at taking pictures though, and admittedly the rest of my row isn't in as good shape.

Truly incredible. If Pittsburgh were as hyper-real as your pictures, it would one of the most incredible places on Earth. As it currently exists, it almost is.

Just to let you guys know I'm getting published although not my own personal book. I'm working with preservation pittsburgh on a book about preservation success stories here and 100 or so of my photos will be featured. Once that's done and I learn more about the publishing process I'll get a coffee table book of my photos published.

Sorry if I came off as an ass in this comment. It's just that a lot of the people I show my photos to say wow your camera takes great pictures. I don't know if that's what you were implying, but in any case I use a d700. A camera that came out in 2007.
Just saw this response. No hard feelings. I never meant to imply the camera overpowers the skills of the photographer. Truthfully, I use a pretty outmoded Kodak digital camera and I desire an upgrade.

I visited Pittsburgh for the first time this summer for just a few hours. I totally fell in love. One of my favorite photo threads ever.

Well I just got laid off for the second time since moving to pittsburgh and am pretty screwed. Pittsburgh may be an awesome city but the jobs here are unstable and white trash. I'm not giving up yet, especially since I have a book coming out with preservation pittsburgh coming out this summer and am working with preservation pittsburgh. I just don't know what to do now. I have a degree in geology but it's totally useless unless I want to be gone from home 24/7. I should have just gotten a degree in business or architecture.
