Here are some pictures I took on my last night in Vancouver before returning to Japan today! Granville Street is a great spot for taking some night shots.
We had recently some guests over that stayed in the Rosedale Hotel in Yaletown. I was a bit worried that this old hotel might be very outdated from the inside, but to our delight they had completely renovated the suite our guests were in. Luckily they got a room on the 19th floor, offering a nice view of the surrounding city.
Remember the time when building elevators still had ALL the floor numbers?
This must be one of the best remaining views of the Vancouver City Library. It's certainly a Downtown gem.
Telus Garden residential tower is almost topped out.
Nice panoramic view from the outside balcony. I just love how many different architectural styles you can see in this view. Vancouver has some very nice variety in its core and is not all spandrel and glass!
Luxury & Super Car Weekend is an annual upscale car event taking place in VanDusen Botanical Garden every September. Here are some long overdue photos of rare exotics from last year's show. To not flood this thread, there are more photos in here.
80s dream car Lamborghini Countach.
Porsche Carrera GT is another legend.
Ford GT is one of the few American supercars.
Lexus LFA has one of the best sounds.
2014 Audi R8.
The new BMW M4 is a common sight, yet looks fantastic.
Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is a pretty rare sight.
When all your friends have an Aventador you got to tune it up.
Rolls-Royce equals luxury.
Bentleys have some very nice interiors.
BMW i8 electric supercar.
Brand new Lamborghini Huracan is sweet.
Bugatti Veyron Sans Noir is worth a measly $1.8M.
Pagani Huayra is a super rare hypercar to see. This was the first time I have ever seen one and it looks great!
The most beautiful hypercar on market is McLaren P1. It's like a sculpture.
Although rare, there were not one but two P1's to see.
I roll my eyes at how in the Canada section, what you describe happens so many times.
You'll get 3 pages of humdrum Toronto construction (giant buildings but mostly dull) with tons of comments, 1 page of cool and eclectic Montreal and St. Johns shots with a few comments, despite lots of cool details to talk about. Then Klazu or others posting jaw-dropping photos of Metro Van, the kind that middle class Korean / Japanese people litterally see online having never heard about Vancouver before and book a trip for their next vacation. But of course no comments at all, or when someone says the photos are awesome they get crapped on by Ontario types. Then it goes back to eleventy-seven shots of concrete in Toronto from every angle.
I'm sorry, but Toronto is the centre of the universe. Toronto is like the shining sun and other cities are just the planets that revolve around Toronto. Toronto gives vitality and life to other cities in Canada. Without Toronto, Canada is nothing. Why is everyone jealous of Toronto?
Don't get mad, but that's what many Torontonians think
I don't normally post other people's photos, but not having access to fly around Downtown in a helicopter myself, these are just too damn nice not to be posted here as well. Thanks for the tip to Prometheus.
I thought you figured it out as you posted so many full-size ones on Canada forum?
I just stumbled across the trick and in most cases you just remove the extra '1' at the end of the photo number to see the full-size version. In other words photo 141.jpg full-size version is 14.jpg.

I see. Thanks. No, I just posted the ones that automatically came in a large size (and that I liked the most). I did not know how to turn the small photos into large ones.
