If most of the crown is going to be removed, then the tapering part of the building needs to be lowered to keep the top from looking so jammed up or stumpy. It would be too repetitive all the way up to the top almost, and then it would be too busy at the top imo. If it would stay the way it is, at least just add a new crown on top. This modified job I did isn't perfect, but it should get the point across.

Steely, the Water Place in Saint Clair Shores has been on hold for quite some time.

^ so are you saying that it isn't a currently active proposal and should be removed from the list?

I'm not sure. The project has a website, but the financing has been in trouble for a few years now, and nothing new has been heard from the project in at least a year. I think I'll try and see what I can get out of them.

From Minnescraper.com

However, the developer hired new architects since this rendering. It's not known if the tower design will be changing.

^ yeah, i had that image on the list before, but someone told me that the design would be most likely changing since the developer had switched architects. as soon as a new rendering for two twenty two is released, please post it here.

Its like an all-glass throwback to the Carew Tower and other art deco skyscrapers. I love it, I just wish it were being built this way:

I think it'd look even better if they trashed the whole arched roof, got a flat one, and made it taller to compensate. I'm too lazy to go Photoshop that myself right now.

I completely agree. Scrap the curved roof altogether, and either make it flat or give it a proper crown (i.e. something like the BofA in Charlotte). The curved roof just clashes with the design. no matter how much you tweak the rest of the building.

Meh, I'll take the immortal Carew as the tallest. At least Cincinnati has something to be proud of.

I understood the Two Twenty Two design would not change [much], they just didn't have a great working relationship with the old architects. I think you're safe reinstating that image. It's at least as secure as the rendering for the Eclipse project which is the subject of similar redesign rumors.

One Market Square in Indianapolis has been canceled. The city severed its relationship with the developer today and will solicit new bids for the site.

This one is the first and only rendering. It's hosted on the project's marketing site: http://www.livetwotwentytwo.com/
