I had recently heard that the construction budget for the stadium is only around 180M of the 278M dollar cost. The rest would be for site preparation, and servicing. As well as, paying for the consultants costs.

Also that if the stadium were to be built like the rendering depicted earlier in 2013 it would have been around double the original budget not 278M. So I would expect a stadium that is similar to Winnipeg's.

You can suspect all you guys want, we won't see anything until a full award is given to PCL. Until then, PCL in particular will not share anything with the general public.

I do not believe it could be anywhere near that high. Plus every project including IGF has site prep and consultants fees built into its cost. the original 2010 dome design had these cost estimates:

Construction cost $319.6 million
Furniture, fixtures and equipment: 10.8 million
Land, consulting and fit-out costs: 60.8 million
PST remission credit ($5 million)

Total facility cost: $386.2 million

So about 16%. $11 million was for storm sewer issues. I am not sure the new site has those problems. Also "fit-out" is really part of the facility - TV's, amenities, art, furniture, garbage cans and so on. Architects alone can be 7%

Architects fees are based on how much the building cost is. 7% for the first amount 5% for the next 3% for the next and so on.

Migs you should share those photos on the Canada section. I'll bet most people have no clue that work is underway on the stadium yet!

Citing site prep, road closures were announced today for Elphinstone from Sask Drive to Dewdney to last into mid-June.
