As the pic above shows, it changes the skyline from the lake quite a bit. That view used to just taper down from JHC to Lake Point.

I think we can all agree that at least it’s height is a game changer for that part of the skyline

Its crazy from that view how perfect 400 lsd, vista, OCS, and WPS will change the skyline in the perfect spots.

If OCS gets built it definitely will be the biggest skyline changer, although WPS isn't too far behind.

It's better than a LaGrange, but that's not really saying much, and the bar is still well south of quality.

@urbanpolitician i agree that the height is nothing to complain about and when Vista and 400 N Lakeshore are complete, this will look look fine sandwiched in between, along with the bKL tower we have to look forward to.

This tower is elegant, not average. Reminds me of New York city. I enjoy the architecture here.

^ Trust me, you did Chicago zero favors by saying that.

But welcome to the forum!

Well, in my humble opinion it's a good looking tower. It appears your opinion is worth more, though.

I have to admit this damn thing is growing on me.
In ten years no one would have thought it was raised in 2017-18.
At least from a distance.

The massing, setbacks and bronze window treatments is the saving grace for this tower which separates it from the other precast disasters this city has seen previously ... So far its a solid tower and the height is exactly what streeterville needed.

It does remind me of a Billionaires Row high rise. Comparing it to ny is fine. It's comparing two skyscraper heavy weights. No problem here. And it's an amazing addition to the skyline. Its slender build is something Chicago has never been known for, but ny has. So it's a safe comparison to ny. And I have no problem with that.

In 10 years this one'll end up feeling like Park Tower off Mag Mile. It adds complimentary height to the big boys around it (400 N LSD, Vista, Sites I,J,K,L in LSE, and even Tribune East)

And personally this has been my favorite one to watch rise in recent memory because of its unique dimensions and towering feel over the Streeterville skyline.

The proof is in the selling. There seem to be plenty of available floorplans in this tower, unlike in NYC where most would be under contract in presale.
