Ummm, it's actually kind of a cool building if you had ever seen it in person. And it has a very interesting history/purpose. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't mean it's a disgrace.... Please....

Anyways, I think I will end up liking this building more than I originally thought due to the quality of that glass!

thanks...i'm really surprised at the impact 432 is making on the city. I know its tall, but i thought its thinness would diminish the impact.

Wow that glass is so sick. Have a feeling this is the best building going up right now.

The glass is incredible.

In terms of quality and design, if there's a better building going up right now, I'd like to see it.

That glass plus the exposed concrete is going to look fantastic.

From my visit to NYC this week. I would have to say this has some of the best glass I have seen.

A disgrace? Actually, I think it is well-designed given its function as a switching building. It was built without windows for a reason and there are examples, albeit smaller examples, all over the country. It now serves a dual purpose as a data center and it is perfect for it. Actually built in anticipation of nuclear war, it was built terrorist "resistant" before such a thing was thought possible here in the US. It was built to keep services running in the event of a disaster but while maybe not as true now as in the past given how technology has evolved, if somebody wanted to maximize disruption to the city, this building would be one of a small handful of priority targets.

^Sorry for OTP, but see 10 S. Canal in Chicago. Same type of building; purely functional. At the height of Desert Storm and immediately after 9/11, they had armed guards positioned at each floor, protecting the switchgear.

This is by far the most exciting building going up right now in NYC. I love watching it rise. It will be fun to watch it top out from the Christopher Street pier. Not only is the glass amazing but those concave concrete floor slabs are really an incredible touch.

yeah, I knew that. My friend used to work in it. It's still a bogus looking thing IMO

Only two units left. A $17.75MM penthouse, and the full blown $34.5MM penthouse. Still seem like steals compared to the 57th St towers.
