The wife and I spent the evening at Lagoon today on a date and noticed they were testing Cannibal. I didn't take any pictures of it as we were in the line for Wicked and only had our iPhones for cameras. My wife had a coupon for a date night where we only payed $50 for both of us to get in after 5pm for either a Friday or Saturday, and plan on using that again once Cannibal is running. When Cannibal is running I plan on taking my GoPro 3+ Silver and strapping it to my head and filming me on the ride. I will post it to my YouTube channel after.

I spent most of the day Friday at Lagoon. They were testing the Cannibal in the evening. You can get a great view of the ride from the go-carts. The lift building is much larger than I thought it would be and the area around the ride looks to be themed well. I tried to take some video of the 116 degree drop, but it was a little to dark for my iPhone to pick up a clear shot.

This looks to be a fun ride. Hopefully it opens soon.

Those videos don't even come close to showing how big that ride really is. Seeing it up close myself, it is a very tall and has the largest foot print of any of the rides at Lagoon. when looking at it from Wicked it just looks massive compared to everything else around it.

Looks cool. Wish it were open when I was there a week ago. Lagoon is pretty pathetic. A good coaster would be at least a step in the right direction.

Someone told me a vicious rumor that the reason that Cannibal is still testing and not open yet is that the crash test dummies keep falling out - meaning people would fall out, meaning the thing has some serious safety issues.

Has anyone else heard this?

God, that gets me even more excited to ride it! Only the strongest survive the wrath of the Cannibal!

I just spent the evening at Lagoon, saw a little bit of testing going on. My sister says The Cannibal looks scary and she can't wait to ride it. I mentioned it could be safety issues that are making it take so long, she said that makes it even better.

For you, my suicidal friend, there is (or was) ACTION PARK, the water park from hell:

Yes, that's a real picture of a real water slide that really carried paying park goers. Apparently the crash test dummies they put down it came out in pieces, but this being ACTION PARK, they opened it anyway:

Honestly I doubt it. There's far more rumors about unsafe park rides than there are actually major amusement park ride incidents.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if there's some safety issues of some sort going on.

I personally heard that the actual cart would fall off during testing. And obviously that isn't true.

And no one fell out! I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that rumor was actually started by the park to get more people interested in it - at least judging by the response on this page.
Looks like terrible fun.

Cannibal is a bit of a let down.

Cannibal was okay. It's a bit too slow. I thought it would be more scary.
