30 Hudson topped out as 50 Hudson begins it's slow climb out of the ground...(and for good measure, notice the Spiral beginning to wake up).

the proportions for the top section look a little wonky, no? to skinny/tall compared with the rest of the structure? Anyone else seeing this?

When will the rest of the rail yard be covered up and the rest of the development start?

Perhaps my sole regret remaining is that they didn't carry 15's base/lower-quarter facade straight up to maybe 90%, then transition to smooth.

From some angles, yes. I think this is where the height cuts were made too, so the slenderness of the section was originally going to be a lot more pronounced. Thankfully KPF and Related realized how ungainly it would have looked.

And Prezrezc, I agree with your comment about the glass pattern. On 10, the change in glazing is meant to serve as the delineation between the parapet and the habitable floors. I assume the cantilever of the obs deck is meant to serve the same purpose on 30, but others I’ve talked to have said they don’t get the same impression. I think if they’d done the glazing differently it would be more obvious.

Beginning of 2019 for the covering of the yards. 2020/2021 for groundbreaking of new towers and work on the recreation section or park.
