IMO i ain't got a problem with the little scars (they're probably crystals) on Crystal Blu... the glass bothers me a little (it used to bother me ALOT) but now i'm getting used to it

Crystal blu is really cool cause its SUPER skinny which gives off the illusion of it being taller than it actually is

Nice updates/shots/photo finds Cal

These pics were just posted by drum118 on UT...

They show where Aura (not jinxing it ) will fill in the skyline.... You can spot other u/c buildings in the photos so it is NOT off topic

**Notice how big the Yorkville skyline is getting

The scars on crystal blu are not big enough, or in the right placement to be noticed by most. And in the end, they may actually serve some purpose.

/\ Did you hear about about the X2 sales line up "controversy"? It actually made the news today after people were protesting at city hall about it.

Oh it was X2 ... thought it was One Bloor as GG and Bloor were both mentioned.

AFAIK, a bunch of speculators/agents got into a heated debate on which of several lineups would have first crack at the discounted units.

One line started like 10 days ago... then the police asked them to move to the other side of the street yesterday. People then started lining up on both sides of the street, and then the sh*t hit the fan.

Some people like to throw big parties. I have to admit to never having more than 50 people at my house at the same time, but I'd probably have 500 if my place were bigger.

No one. There's 12 units per floor. I'll leave the rest to you.

To me there's just nothing truly unique about this building (design wise) aside from the fact that it has a huge podium...

I would have liked to see something more visually stunning for a festive building ...

Maybe the lightbox at the top of the building will make the tower look a little nicer

steveve, i've been looking around everywhere and haven't yet spotted a building that looks like the litebox -so technically, it is 'unique'.

here's a pic with the Uptown rising (tower crane) as seen from yonge & st. clair (~midtown). by me earlier today.

Festival Tower may not be noteworthy but the glass wall sans spandrel is a nice change. The balcony railings are really nice compared to the norm as well.

Just realized somethin'. 14 is grade nine, right? Wow, some crazy times. I understand you a little more.
