Thanks.

Yeah its a nice city. So much construction, and it seems like every highway is being worked on.

The metro is booming so much, so many projects everywhere. Traffic is horrific, but honestly, after dealing with NY traffic for years, its easy stuff. Once you get a taste of the Cross-Bronx, BQE, GWB traffic.... DC traffic is nada. 40 minute delay... hahahahah, thats childs play right there. 40 minute delay is nice!!! I wish I had 40 minute delays, that would be nice!

It hardens you being up here.

Georgetown is beautiful on a side note.

Also went to Fairfax, VA... and a huge Mideastern presence there. Lots of diversity, and people have money. Felt like Beverly Hills with all of those nice cars, and man oh man, the Persian women are something else. Just beautiful I tell ya, models I tell yah.

Will definitely be heading back more as my sister has a place down there, so I can swing by any time.

It is. Very clean too. Exception of New York Avenue in D.C.. That corridor is dawn of the dead. The amount of junkies on the street is astronomical. Its kinda sad actually. I'd imagine heroin is a big problem down there, because folks just nodding in the middle of the street.

That looks interesting. I'll see if I can check it out next time. Yeah I wish I had more time lol so much to see and do.

Was tough due to the heat. I gotta defintly head back during fall to check it out again. Some of the museums alone can take hours. So much to see.

Nice! I was in DC 6-19 thru 6-22 so we just missed each other. You should check out the wharf area next time you are in town... definitely has a nice vibe to it.

Born in DC, raised in its Maryland suburbs. Researched my high school term papers in the Library of Congress. Summer evenings went to regular concerts by the various military orchestras and bands along the Potomac and fished in that river (above Great Falls where you can wade it in dry years). Many school "field trips" to the Smithsonian and its branches.

In my college years, sometimes played in Georgetown (a reasonable road trip from my school in Baltimore)--the DC drinking age then was 18.

Unfortunately, in my freshman year of college, November witnessed the killing of the President and I took the train down to see the funeral which I did.

DC was the first 21 years of my life . . . and then I left, not to return for more than a few hours on one occasion (changing trains).

The shots you took don't look much different than what I remember.

Great pics! Still one of my favorite cities and while I love Philly, I can still see myself living in DC one day.

I really love the "city" parts of DC...the monumental parts not as much. Great neighborhoods...love Georgetown.
