Too small for Singer. The one bay facing 101 and is a bit odd shaped. 3700 sq ft is not big. Swedish Jewellers comes to mind.

Maybe Holt Renfrew wants Singer's space?

An ideal situation would be for Zenari's to move to KR on RHW, then as part of Holt Renfrew's rumored expansion of the entire Manulife podium, they move Holt's Cafe into Zenari's space.

Thats a good idea. But Holts needs even more.

My guess is it would be a food tenant in KR. I had heard before they wanted something like Sunterra. Zenari's would be a good guess.

Something is going in the old Sobey's space Jasper/104 st. It's not a grocery, will be somewhat temporary, but it will help activate the space until the Sobey's lease runs out.

Holt Refrew expansion confirmed. Businesses on mail floor save Henry Singer given notices this week to vacate by September 1. New store will be 105,000 square feet on both levels.

So will they be separated with the same common area hallways between as now? RBC and Second Cup moving out too?

At 105,000 still the smallest Holts store in Canada even with doubling + the current 47,000 size. The space hopefully will be somewhat contiguous if they can have the entire first floor - minus HS. Time for Henry Singer to relocate or be swallowed up by Holts (not necessarily a bad idea). I am also curious if RBC and 2nd cup are staying and going...and where the 58,000 is coming from.

Great news: Holts. At least the fear of the retailer leaving downtown is over.

^^ RBC consolidated on the second floor a couple of years ago. Their old space on the main floor has been vacant for about that long.

Not sure why you're in such a rush to move or remove HS, though.

Thank heavens. For once, WEM isn't the black hole sucking the soul out of downtown Edmonton.

So what happens to the retailers who are being displaced: Zenaris, Alligator Pie, Second Cup, High Grade, Coup and Swish? And what about Escada, is Holt taking that as well?

I would like to see strong sales at Holts within the block. HS would be perfect in City Centre where KPMG is or ICE.
