As long as they're not too close to the CN Tower (like you mentioned). That would look awkward.
I can`t see Toronto ever building a new tallest unless the CN Tower comes down.

I hope to one day see a tower in the core that tops FCP and adds some excitement to the skyline. Take away the CN Tower, and we have, in my opinion, a pretty boring skyline. Lots of boxes (some are ok) and little in the way of imagination. When Will Alsop`s OCAD Building went up, I felt Toronto was turning a bit of a corner. That building on stilts gave me hope there was some architectural imagination beginning to seep into `ole boring Torontoville.

I realize it takes big money to make an architectural masterpiece. Maybe TO is still in the minor leagues in that respect. Once a heavy hitter with a bit of ego shows up in town, we may have that building.

Think Toronto is boring? You haven't seen Vancouver.

Counted up to 53 floors today. We're getting close to the top now.

Construction can only get faster, as the sections of the building get smaller.

Nice 'pot pourri' of shape going on in the night view above. Does that make sense?

The cut corner of the L tower reminds me of this building in Tokyo:

Weird that the spandrel glass is thicker on the bottom floors, then thins out considerably after those first 5-7 floors. I like the thinner glass better, even though the floors aren't as well defined.
