What is the area between Bloor and St. Clair considered?

...midtown? It's not downtown (except Yorkville), but if North Toronto (old city north of St. Clair centered Yonge St.) is now "midtown" then what is the area between downtown and "midtown"?

Rosedale is just a neighborhood though not a section.

The CP rail corridor is the real split between downtown and midtown in my mind. Places like the annex are very much part of downtown and are north of bloor. Further west it is a bit less clear, but still.

I've always thought of Ramsden Park, and the ravine of which it is a segment, as the natural border between downtown and midtown.

there is also summerhill, which i always knew of as a subway station, but only later realized it refers to a neighborhood sandwiched right between casa loma and rosedale.
