Why any one likes this building is lost on me.....

thats cool Icon magazine did a story on that building.

the McDonalds UK are revamping all their outlets in a last chance saloon after deserting customers to look like swanky bars now, complete with classy funky-colour schemes, coffee tables, moderne lights, even marble tables and retro swivel armchairs, with retro wood effect. The one in my hometown even painted the wrought iron Victorian pillars in bright orange and dark chocolate so it looks very contemporary-posh, I remember some American kids coming past and they were, wow that's a McDonalds?..
And yes this has paid off, after years of falling sales here and bad publicity, this year they saw a big resurgence.
How crap.

This is a stripped version, imagine it in lime green and chocolate, with swivel armchairs and Victorian sculpture. It will sell your fuckin soul.

this was a McDonalds used for Expo 86 in Vancouver:

it now sits abandoned somewhere in Vancouver's Barnet Inlet

I read about that too. I would've thought it would have been sunken or attacked by vandals or something by now. Floating there for 20 years...

Edit:
See it on Google Earth:!

am I the only one who thinks it looks like a second rate car dealership retrofitted to house a fast food franchise?

once the polish wears off this place is going to look like shit, just like every other fast food outlet.

^Well, actually I'm not that impressed either. Living in Scandinvia, I guess I'm fed up with that kind of buildings by now. It looks far better than any Mc Donalds restaurant posted in this thread tho.
