I think that Brooklyn's massing and density is going to resemble Boston within 3-5 years. Probably less than a decade away from having a top 10 stand-alone skyline in the country!

Unless it was somehow the angle I saw it from, I do believe this has surpassed the Brooklyner now.

Thanks to whatever is stalling the cladding over at 29 Flatbush, it looks like this actually might finish first. Overall they are both decent enough.

Next up Citypoint phase 2 and Avalon Willoughby West.

I know the name of the real estate game is money - more cash per square in., but they need to design some skyscrapers with more character, such as classic, dramatic setbacks and maybe curves and such.

^ Brooklyn certainly does need a new definitive skyscraper for the skyline. Maybe a classic spire, or setbacks and a crown. Maybe something completely different and new. But definitely something memorable. These new buildings, though ok, are not that.

I always liked that view of Brooklyn because of all the old buildings. It was like finding yourself back in the 40's. I guess those days are officially gone. Oh well...

I love that view of Brooklyn, and the lighting in the pictures, above, are excellent.
