Per Emporis as of today. Note that we are approaching 1000 skyscrapers.

Also add high-rises + skyscrapers to get a count over 7000+ as they are differentiated based on height. I believe skyscraper over 300 + per thier definition. Either 300/400 ft, but I'm inclined to believe they classify it over 300 ft.

Current U/C list as per CTBUH. Note that the Emporis list includes high rises as well or structures 8-12 floors depending on height.

This is not everything, nowhere near the u/c activity, but just some of the biggies rising.

Project: 347 Lexington Avenue

The new building will include 65 short-stay guest rooms, a communal lounge, and a multipurpose room on the ground level.

At 200 feet tall, the structure will comprise 24,850 square feet and replace an existing low-rise commercial building.

Epos Development partnered with Tan Architect, which was challenged to design the slender building. The most recent renderings reveal a sleek, dark-hued façade, gray cementitious elements at the perimeter of the structure, and an open-air terrace toward the top of the development.

The developer has not yet confirmed an anticipated date of completion for the hotel.

Amazing...really shows how wrong and fake was that news item about crane counts showing Seattle and Portland (!) topping the us high rise construction stats, ahead of New York.

Yeah I remember that article. I think they said NY had something like 25 cranes or some inane figure like that. I spit my coffee out when I read that back in the day. Wasn't it back in 2018 or something, during the height of where most boom towers were rising.

New cranes being added every month. Something like 5 cranes alone for 50 Hudson and the Spiral.

Regarding the project list, lots of things rising. When we get into the 10-20 floor territory, it gets really high. Last couple of construction update's show some lesser known projects, but they are all over the place.

The CTBUH list doesn't show the lesser known "high rises", but there's a lot. The Emporis list I like in regards to whats planned or proposed. Quite accurate in my book.

Now they just need to start building more near the metro north in Harlem. Most underutilized real estate in the city...

There are a number of major towers going up right there. Durst and Extell have huge projects planned on either side of the station, there's a massive multi-building development going up to the east, and a new 21-floor development was permitted at 127th/Park just this week.

The entire Park Ave. corridor, from the UES to the Harlem River, was rezoned for highrises recently.

Project: 167 Fourth Avenue (Also known as 639 Degraw Street)

Developer Claudio Soifer has revealed fresh renderings of a new 12-story, mixed-use development in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Located at 167 Fourth Avenue and formerly referred to as 639 Degraw Street, the structure will replace several vacant lots.

Designed by ODA, the building features the firm’s characteristic cubic style with a series of stepped setbacks and balconies. The concrete-formed structure appears to be clad in red brick masonry and glass elements.

From the ground up, the structure will contain both commercial area and community-oriented facilities within the lower levels. The building’s second through 12th floors will contain 57 residences along with an undisclosed amenities package. When complete, the entire development will yield 220,000 square feet and top off at 125 feet tall.

An official date of completion has not yet been announced.
