Bellevue Washington

So I needed to get out and get some exercise today - decided to walk a loop around dt Bellevue and shoot a few pics along the way.

Not an ideal day for photos (typical PNW winter day - 50 and mist)

Bellevue Towers from another less dreary day

Who is walking who here?

Some great sculptures outside of the convention center...

That's the end of my walk for today - maybe I'll get back out there when the sun (and people) comes back out!

Here's hoping the right thing is done and that Link light rail goes through downtown - whether that means subway or surface - rather than along the edge next to the interstate. Downtown Bellevue looks pretty good and providing pedestrians a better way to get to/from the downtown area can only liven it up even more.

Thanks for the photo tour! Threads like these where the photog is just walking around & snapping photos along the way are always enjoyable to see.

I'm with you OhioGuy....I can't wait for Link to run from Seattle to Bellevue. No more sitting in traffic or paying for parking - joy. I just hope they don't let too many special interests dictate the path of light rail through downtown.

I also think Bellevue could use a streetcar that would do a simple loop around downtown hitting the major retail venues especially as the recently completed condos fill. There are around 35,000 office workers in the core too so I could see heavy usage durning lunch hour and toward the end of the day.

Great tour!

Bellevue still doesn't treat pedestrians right -- I'll die before I push a button to cross a street -- but it's doing urbanism well and has since the mid-80s.

Man, Bellevue has really grown up in the last decade or so hasn't it? Amazing. I love that city.

Handsome city. Winter there looks almost tropical compared with what I was walking around in this morning.
