Okay, so I decided to finally consider an opening of the EXPO at
December 31, 2010, or New Year's Eve, though the final renders will probably come out in batches. I not only thought Dubai_skyscraper's idea of a New Year opening quite timely. I also thought this will give you guys enough time to submit the other pavilions since we'll all be probably having Christmas Breaks. Also, what better way to welcome the New Year than a successful opening of this wonderful collab between SSC and SSP. Again, I thank you all for your participation.
Now, what does this entail?
First, I really didn't want to give a deadline, but I pondered that having this project drag for too long might lessen interest in it. Also, I want to move on to my other projects and I don't want to leave this EXPO project unfinished. This will be, as mentioned, an extension of the city I'm building and I want to start work on it soon.
So, for everyone participating, the deadline for pavilion submission is: December 29-30 I'm giving two days for pavilion submissions. Hopefully all can send theirs. In the event that some pavilions won't be sent or some lots left vacant, other users can pitch in back-up pavilions or I'll do pavilions as well so no lot is left vacant.
Pavilion Update as of December 18
Note: Under Consideration are lots that haven't received any sort of update for quite a long time and are in danger of finding new owners. Until other users volunteer for them, I'll consider them my slots for now. But those who want to snap up the blue slots, do tell me
Site in general has been progressing rapidly. I've done the Ethnic Pavilion, starting Earth Pavilion, with only the auditorium and the energy station left to do. After that, I'll get real detailed and all sorts of components like streetlamps, and finally, the people to add life to the expo. I also started to create animation vids of the site, though this might not be a sure fire thing as it really takes quite a while to finish.
Okay, so that's all. Do voice out your opinions or suggestions. They'll help a lot. Thanks!
