I dont know why but you can only render when all the faces are white. all you have to is repaint whatever you had painted before and it'll be the same

Roofs are very easy. It's a matter of applying a roof texture (plenty in Google Earth), sizing and positioning it if necessary, pushing and pulling different roof structures, and applying basic matching colors to the sides of the pulled structures. For an example of this, see my video demonstrating how to make a quick, very basic, skyscraper: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44kCdKOtAW4

To import 3d models into Kerkythea, you either need a Pro version of SketchUp where the option for exporting a 3DS model is available, or, you can simply integrate a free Kerkythea plug-in into SketchUp, which you can find in the kerkythea downloads section: http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/inde...tory&Itemid=43

Hope any of that helps.

Yeah I thought so to, I wanted to create a city on the bay. Florida was the only sensible choice. Anyway I have been on kerk making some renders, hope you like them.

I have been doing alot of work on bay city. I am verry close to finishing the bridge. Also I have changed around the terrain so it would work better. Here is a sneak peak of the new design.

this thread is very slow, not verry many people are interedsted in su. in hopes of keeping this thread alive here is an update.

Also I wanted to see if anyone could help me in designing a few buldings (I really am desparate for ideas) kinda like a group project. I will give info on the site and then people can design a bulding for it. What do you think.

the city is looking good. for group projects you can contribute a building for SSP City ran by Mocholate.

Where is that oversized tunnel leading to?

Ok, here is an update, I have had a lot of time on my hands so I have made some major changes. What is really wierd is my computer is already starting to lag and I have a intel core 2 extreme.

Firstly, I have added many bulidings and also textured some others, All the new buldings are white.

Same perspective with fog.

Street grid.

Seccondly, I have changed the plots on the onramps to the highway, they used to be grass but now they are building plots.

Lastly I have formed a barrier for downtown, in this next pic can you see a shift?

Now here are just some shots of the city.

Also a render enjoy.

You should really give less pictures on updates, it takes away from the excitment of a new city, we've already seen EVERYTHING, so to keep this city from dieing, add detail to the city streets and give the buildings more character.

Agreed. Update buildings one by one, and once in a while post a skyline shot. You might also want to give us some history about the buildings, the use, height, floors, etc. Just general information.

This city looks very good.

Alright, by popular demand here is some info on some of my buildings.

THE BOND NAST BUILDING

hight: 800' to roof. 994' to spire.
floors: 95
info:
1. The building is the fourth tallest in the city.
2. It was completed in 2001 and at the time was the 2nd tallest building in florida.
3. This one has gone through many changes during it's design it went from this, to this,

THE GP BUILDING, or the General Products building.

hight: 1011' to roof.
floors: 81
info:
1. The building was built in 1990.
2. It is the seccond tallest in the city.
3. It is home to many famous retailers like Jacy's and Millard's but GP takes up most of the space
4. It is the largest building in the city currently.

Hope you like them.

Nice history/info about those buildings. I like the GP Building, as well as the name 'General Products'. Is GP based off of the company Unilever?
