Definitely me. Choosing the location will be hard since it's a free-pick comp. So many places to choose! London, Paris, NY, Seattle, San Fran, Dubai, Shanghai, Toronto, Mexico City, Bangkok, Moscow, Cape Town, Cairo, LA, Vancouver BC, Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, Panama, Cancun, Acapulco, Miami, so so many places! But where to build?

I kinda have a plan for my hotel already. I know were I am going to build it at least.

My home city!

I have chosen a plot already in the city on an existing structure right on the strip. There is no hotel there now, but its a big piece of property lol. I will make it mixed use, but I will only be submitting the hotel section of the property.

I'm in on this one. The only reason why I didn't send my entry in for the last comp. is because my hard-drive crashed and I lost all my sketch-up files. Good news is that sketch-up for me is running as fast as ever.

I hate to criticize, but whats with the height limitations? It seems kinda odd that it must be between 200 and 250 meters...what made you come to those numbers Skyscraper100? Can we have a bit more breathing room?

I kinda like the height rules. It gives us more of a challenge.

Anyways, I narrowed my places to Mexico City, Seattle, NY, and Shanghai... I just need to imagine a design and see where it would go best.

Sucks about your crash Dac but hopefully you'll be able to enter this one...

I hate hight limits cause alot of people (me included) suck at having a "real" scale.

I will still participate despite the rules, but I will totally modify the tower after the competition is over to make it bigger.

For reference, it should be between 50 and 60 floors if the tallest point is the roof.

Apparently Google only has streetview/3D Buildings for the 'modern' countries of the world [Europe, Canada, US and Japan] so I'll have to limit my location options.

Umm... does entire building have to be a hotel or can it be a hotel/condo mix?

K thanks! Anyways, I have now picked my last three locations. I think the last three cities I have are great candidates. Of course, I won't say where my hotels are but I felt proud that I finally picked my last three finals...

So, has anyone picked their location yet? Well, other than SSP100 and Krares?
