Sabotai does the PNW: VANCOUVER, (Part 2 - THE OTHER SIDE)

Part 2 is dedicated to the older, grittier, less sterile side of Vancouver. This is one that is often overlooked by casual observers and is a nice contrast with those glimmering towers in the first thread. Much of the inner city feels like it was built just yesterday and this is dedicated to what came before that.

It still looks nicer than most cities even with the grit.

I love how colorful your shots are. You're a master of that wide-angle lens, too.

No golden bottle specials?! Nice going with the decentralized, miscellaneous focus of this thread. Did you at all visit Vancouver's Downtown Eastside? Lots of grit there.

ah, yes, beautiful work once again. It's interesting the contrast Vancouver can represent. You have the posh and modern Yaletown condos just blocks away from dilapidated neighbourhoods around Hastings St. and the Downtown Eastside. I guess that's what happens when the prices are so high that it makes the middle class virtually nonexistant because they cannot afford the high prices of Vancouver.

Apparently, Vancouver is visually interesting from either side. You do excellent work.
