At the workshop a final scenario was presented that incorporated likely transport and energy policies, and the effects on European transport of a continued global plateau in oil production up to 2030. I can telll you the official regional plans for Stockholm: either maintain transits share of travel, or decrease it. Yup, no plans for increasing transits share of the market. The Green party even supports decreasing it. Why? because we should save all the trees! think of all the trees that'll be cut down if we densify the core of the region! the horror
/ehm... what about all the many more trees that'll be cut down if we keep sprawling? ever thought about those? apparently not.
