^What was nice about the Venetian was their pool - in addition to being a great pool, I had a great view of a skyscraper (the Palazzo) under construction - perfect for a vacationing SSP geek!

"Cold beer......yes. Dirty girls.......hell yes!"

Sorry - I prefer guys, and I prefer them on the clean side

"What's with the roving clans of bikini- and mini-skirt cladded hoochies all over the city?"

Actually I wasn't bothered by them - coming from comfy-casual Cleveland, it was nice to see ladies making an effort to get dolled up. Sure, some of them went a little too turbo-hoochie, but it was a breath of fresh air nonetheless.

What bothered me was the dozens of Ari/Jeremy Piven wannabe's who clogged the entrance to some of the clubs (Tao for example). My group was comped in so while we're walking in, you can hear these guys try and butter up the bouncers and it was just pathetic. I mean - seeing some guy trying to slip a bouncer a $100 to get him and his buddies into an overcrowded h#llhole like Tao was really sad.

Nice pictures. And you know a city is brand new when the ubiquitous "chinatown arch" is the entrance to a strip mall!

What a glitzy, ritzy, 24/7 town. Fun set of pics MayDay (A Chinatown?), and nice side trip too. I know it's the entertainment capital of the world, but I just can't seem to warm up to the city. Haven't been there in over 30 years, so maybe it's just the old fart in me that feels that way.

Thanks for the tour.
