How many Tower cranes and Large Mobile Cranes does this make for downtown Houston? Back in the early 80's there was a major construction boom downtown. I do not recall it being this extensive. There were fewer building built, but taller. This is quite a marvel. Except for NYC I do not believe any other US city has this level of activity.

Seattle, Miami and Austin are seeing probably the same level of growth (and even more concentrated in specific areas). They're all forests of cranes.

So glad this tower is going up, not only will it cover up a terrible parking lot but it will also help cover up that horrid parking garage next door.
