I love this rendering! I love the solid glass portion at the top as well!

I agree. Hopefully the glass is continued on the riverside of the building which is not visible in the rendering. Great views sell a property.

A residential building of this type should act as a billboard, enticing renters (or buyers) to want badly to live there. The more attractive it is both inside and out, the more likely it will be to attract residents who are willing to pay premium prices.

If you look at the trees it looks like half of the block continues without a building/parking. Also great rendering.. It looks alot taller than the other one too. I really hope they get some awesome retail in there.

The Standard seems to be selling well. A unit on the 13th floor (penthouse?) is under contract after asking $1.6 million- $875/SF. http://www.realtor.com/realestateand...ch/70113/sby-2 listings for the building. Several under contract. They seem to be listing them in bunches instead of all at once.

My colleague is the listing agent with L&B for the units and half of the units on the market are already under contract so thats great news. Especially here where people don't seem to like to buy things that aren't already built/done. Also the Paramount and Beacon have remained above 95% leased which is also fantastic news.

Thats the key... domain gets there stuff built... so many people got burnt out putting deposits down on buildings that never started. I wouldnt even consider the annunciation until they break ground

also got an update on the canopy at dday museum: the steel canopy is ready and manufactured in Mexico waiting to be shipped; however, the museum says erection of it wont start to august and that may take til december to complete. Same engineers that did this canopy did the world trade center hub in NYC . So apparently much more complicated than I was thinking it was! Anyways thats the information I received from a reputable source. The delay could have something to do with foundation work for the freedom Hall.

I really like the design for the Odeon. Modern and fits in nicely with the Plaza Tower. I've seen renderings with a similarly massed building next door and a small pedestrian plaza in between.

There have been so many projects announced and never completed that I wouldn't put money down for anything that wasn't going vertical, so it's good that Domain moves quickly.

Much better design for the Odeon. Agreed that I hope the glass wall extends the width of the building on the riverside. Great to hear that the Standard is selling well too. Domain definitely knows how to get things built.

Those renderings are so much nicer. I wasn't a fan of the original additions they planned, but I think this ties in much better visually.

I agree the previous renderings looked a little tacky. this is really clean and will maintain sightline down canal to riverfront. plus these additions really mesh with the exisiting building.

ALso In related new the city council voted today to approve demo of canal terminal and construction of the replacement. this will really open the whole reiverfront area up and better connect everything from the moonwalk alll the way to the riverwalk... if we can get a better connection to crescent park that would allow a seemless area along a huge swath of riverfront

Regarding the Four Seasons plans and the issues with the new ferry terminal, I thought I remembered an exterior pedestrian bridge over the tracks in the original renderings for the Four Seasons. I can't really tell if this still exists in the updated renderings, but I'd imagine that could solve the problem of no bridge over the tracks for the new terminal, as long as it's open to the public and convenient to bring bikes/strollers/etc. I wish the city had made that a requirement in the RFP for the WTC.

I think some of the new additions to the Four Seasons are over the rail tracks and there are steps that come down to the plaza from that. Maybe thats what your referring to. Hard to tell until we see actual plans.
