Go East from Main on Terminal Avenue a ways, past the Flea Market (which is on the North side of Terminal, other direction) past a brick storage building,
and turn right at The Home Depot. You're now on Cottrell Street.
1755 Cottrell is a little ways along on your right, past a lane.

It is now being sold at 4.4mil, I wonder how much they could sell previously and how much was actually put into the restoration of the building? Did Yale have to foot part of the bill or did Rize do so 100%?

Shark Club Vancouver Closing

http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2014/03/s...ouver-closing/

will be a large space available there. I'm thinking maybe the hotel will reno and incorporate that space into the hotel better.

It's too bad that the Moxies is likely there to stay (same ownership as the hotel) otherwise the whole retail component of the Sandman is in major need of a reno/overhaul.

Shark Club is closing? They are expanding like crazy elsewhere in Canada, I'm surprised they closed their original location.

It would be good if they re-opened at the former Players / The Ticket location of Terry Fox Plaza - that space needs a destination bar/restaurant.

Seems like a leasing issue and not a lack of business issue. Still strange as Moxie's/Sharks club and Sandman tend to go together everywhere. Although I understand there isn't a direct link between the owners of Sharks club and the Sandman.

Yes that is potentially a great location for a big name sports bar/restaurant. Although the "Back Forty" place across Beatty has changed many times over the years too... maybe there is a demand for high rent.

I believe the Vancouver Shark Club was owned independently ("Gibsons Hospitality"), but the rest of the chain is owned by Northland/Sandman. If business was good, it makes me wonder if they were forced out. Maybe this is paving the way for a Northland-owned Shark Club to open up (or Rockford or Chop).

Hey, I was right.

The bar will then undergo a “full-scale renovation” before reopening under the same name and brand, under the operation of Shark Club Canada Inc., the same group that runs every other Shark Club across the country.

Ceilis Granville at 670 Smithe Street has permanently closed as of Tuesday 13th of May.

Ceilis Granville opened in February 2007.

Mirage in Surrey is closing this weekend.

Does the suburbs have any nightclubs left, I think it leaves Status in New West as the sole survivor?
