I want this render with as many of the towers planned/proposed as possible...

What makes you say that? If built as shown, it'll be a wasted opportunity.

The north wall of the pool should be glass

Handel Architects (not Vinoly)

http://www.yimbynews.com/2015/05/han...ark-south.html

Yesterday, YIMBY revealed the exteriors for 1 Park Lane, which has an actual address of 36 Central Park South, the site of the current Helmsley Park Lane. While we speculated that Vinoly was behind the renderings, we have now learned that Handel Architects is in fact behind the design, which is unsurprising considering the supertall does resemble a vertically extruded take on the Trump Soho (another Handel project). The 1,210-foot tall building will have 88 condominiums, and completion is expected by 2020.

Whoa, this one came out of nowhere! Developers snapping up those Central Park-side spaces quickly. This is one of the last big holes that hasn't been filled in this line of towers. 1,210 feet isn't bad either. Exciting times!

Is it just me or does the framing for the glass at the front of the lobby seem unusually thin?

If Handel was responsible for those renderings, then it's definitely not the final version.

Not really. We've been speculating on this for a while now. We just didn't have an exact number to work with, and it still could change.

I knew it wasn't Binoly, which has now been confirmed. I am also next to positive (from a VERY reliable source) that that's not the final design.

The fact that it's on the EB-5 website is irrelevant. Outdated renderings for other projects like 111 Murray are on there too.

I hope you are right. The rendering as is sucks.

It amuses me to no end

That the people who overpayed for Plaza Hotel condos will have to endure years of pile-driving and construction noise. Sucks for them!

From a height standpoint it is surprising. But it sounds like this isn't the final design, so I guess we'll still be waiting in suspense.

Its definitely taller than One57, which is 1,005 feet. I feel like the final height is probably going to change again though. I'm not sure I would get too used to the 1,200 feet. Although it probably should be around 1,200 feet to balance out all the other towers going up in the skyline.

That shouldn't be surprising either. Go back and read the thread.

Well before the title of this thread was not above 1,000 feet/300 meters. The building made quite a leap.
