Maybe it is the final product, doesn’t look bad at all with the gaps.

It's quite possible. I'm Downtown right now, they don't have them on unfortunately.

Of course they are not going to leave broken lights on the building when it's done. But I'm wondering if the lights can be different colors? So far I've only seen white. I think blue would look good.

If you are referring about my comment of the gaps being final, it looks to me like there aren't lights in those gaps at all, rather than there are lights but they aren't on.

In all the renderings with the lights they have just been white but I hope they do change, it would be nice if they mirrored the 2nd street bridge.

If you look at the night time renderings, there are no gaps in the lighting. I suspect the lights not on in the photo will be on when the building is completed.

Probably so, I do like the current look of having gaps a little bit better, but lighting is better than no lighting.

I just can't stop thinking about how unattractive this building is. The parking podium is going to make the building at 4th and Colorado with the gigantic parking podium look like a beauty pageant winner by comparison.

I actually think this building will still be better than that parking monstrosity. At least it's cladded even if it doesn't match the office portion. 405 Colorado won't even have that and will be a jarring transition between podium and offices.

I saw the lighting for the first time tonite........from the west it is spectacular and IMO the 2nd best hi-rise lighting in the ATX behind Frost. It almost makes up for the awful podium.

Yep. I was at Butler Park tonight on the hill, and it looked great. The vertical lines look classy. Anyway, I took some pics. I'll have to get them posted soon.

I saw them from Lamar and Bluebonnet, they really stood out even from that vantage. How bright were they from Butler?

Yeah, I was having dinner at the Carpenter Hall last night and *holy moly* that building looks great at night.

Doesn't make up for how it looks in the day, but it really adds to the depth of downtown at night.

It's really good. Their cocktails are so-so given all the hype around the bartender, but I thought the food was super good.

What a lovely blank wall to compliment the other big blank walls.

Hopefully it'll get a nice mural or something.
