Thank you for that update Danske. Can someone remind me what these buildings replaced. Was it vacant land, or perhaps single story commercial, old warehousing, etc.?

Just curious, Makid or anyone in the know. How far along are they on the fund raising for the expansion of the aquarium? Once completed, this would take this aquarium into the realm of world class.

I believe it was all vacant land or parking lots. The demolition of the smokestacks back in the day left a lot of empty land in this area that hasn't all been developed yet.

This is an awesome rendering, I hope that the funding comes in to make it happen. It is a nice relief amongst all of the suburban homes and warehouses.

Is this the Transformation Center? Because it looks nothing like the renderings:

Jacobsen is the GC for the transformation center, I'm not sure where those medical office buildings are in Murray.

The Transformation center is coming along nicely.

I believe that is this building just north and east of the main building (see Death Star).

I'm not sure which building is which, but that lot next to the liquor store was vacant for a long time.

I'm disappointed that they caved to the NIMBYs by reducing density and heights, but I am a fan of the increased open space.

I agree. They also added some condos which is nice to have higher density that is not just for renters, but yes the NIMBY's largely won on this one. Then again I am sure some would only want all single family homes except for a strip mall and a grocery store, so in that sense this is a big win.

This maybe not new new, but it's the first time I've seen this, and I attended SLCC eons ago. Nice project!

I'm not a fan of the increased open space. Wasn't that river path included in the original version. Open space needs to be usable and well programmed otherwise it is useless and sometimes detrimental. open space for the sake of open space is not a good thing.

WFRC awarded funds to several cities exploring active transportation plans (bike and pedestrian plans). Nice to see that the suburbs are looking to be more bike/pedestrian friendly.
