SA ranked in top 12 cities by National Geographic Magazine

http://adventure.nationalgeographic....e-towns-text/1

The bold cities are the top 12. San Antonio can be found of the 3rd page under "Central Towns". It is great that SA is making an effort to be more environmentally friendly and recreational for our citizens. We have to make sure we don't slack off and keep these efforts up (light-rail anyone?)!

BTW this issue came out Aug. 12th so be sure to pick it up.

"Alamo-era swagger"? The only people who were swaggering then was the Mexican army

I love the way it starts out too: "Hey, you all know Austin is awesome, but there's this sleepy little town about an hour south that you're just gonna luvvvvvvv!"

hit the next page link. It takes you through their divisions. They have your article under Central towns.

I love what they say about State College, that could have helped my argument when some Ohio State poster was saying there is nothing to do there but tip cows.

that's some great company for san antonio - hermann, bardstown, and grand marais...

next we can build a monorail. ogedenville and north haverbrook got them and, by gum, it sure put them on the map.

Love this article and finally some recognition of the progress being made in the city. (Also kinda nice to see Austin missing from this list *sorry Austinites*, you have a great city, but it does get a little old after a while reading the druel over your city*)

Not really. Yesterday there was an article in our own business section bashing our parks system. And then there's been the whole series of articles and editorials over the abysmal state of the city's bike routes...

We could also go with "RollerCoaster Rail". A nice inverted coaster like the recently opened Goliath (Six Flags Fiesta Texas) that runs down the median of the interstates. We could be Dubai of the USA.
