What I'm wondering is whether or not the sales centre will be open to the public after this weekend. I mean, I know that it will, but will it be by appointment only?

I remember someone here wanting to buy a unit to rent out...just so you know, I'm compulsively neat!
I've got an appointment on Saturday... and I'm pretty pumped about it. I don't know if it will be by appointment only after... but like you said, the sales office will be open to the public starting the next weekend.

That's excellent! I wonder if either of the penthouses sold yet?

As of noon today, 66/164 units had been sold. That is through the VIP (friends and family) and registered members weekend only. They are available to the general public in another week or so I believe.

None of the penthouses had sold as of this morning.

Dave

I wonder what "sold" means? They have placed a deposit? What percentage of the purchase price? Is the deposit refundable? Have they signed an agreement? Is the agreement binding? Can the price/design change? If it does, what happens?

Just got an email saying they are over 50% sold on the first weekend of sales alone. Very impressive!

Capital Pointe has updated their website to give more details about the residences and amenities. Very impressive! Love those floor to ceiling windows! Does that mean they've opened up their show suite beyond appointed viewings (as in, just walk in and view?) ?! I just wish they would have more interior 3-d renderings of each different suite!

http://www.capitalpointe.ca/ (P.S. Don't click on the "Home" button of their website -- it doesn't seem to work too well, yet! )

Lot's of new renders. Thanks. The green roof on the hotel is pretty impressive and will give the condo owners something decent to look at, rather than tar and gravel and HVAC equipment.

The question is how many of those 50% have removed all contions making it a final sale?? Conditionally sold means nothing except that someone has given them a $1000 cheque to think about it.

And how many who didn't give a cheque have decided that they are going to purchase? I like to look at things with the glass half full.

$5000. So I would think it would be a little more serious to have that much money on hand and leave as a deposit. I'm sure there will be a few deals that fall through, but the majority are probably fine. Then too, the 10 day period ends today for the Sunday purchasers.

$1000, $5000 or even $10,000, they dont even cash the cheque until you remove conditions so the amount is not really a significant factor in the final decision.

Capital Pointe

So did anyone make it down to the grand opening of the sales office, for the general public? I've heard about the VIP event but nothing about the public one. Just wondering if there was a good turnout, how sales were going...
